Split Air Conditioning: For cooling or heating your room

Split Air Conditioning

A Split Air Conditioning Unit is becoming more and more popular both in the home and in commercial buildings when considering an air conditioning installation.  It is generally chosen when saving space is a necessity as the condenser unit is situated outside the building, at ground level or on flat roofs with the air conditioning unit situated internally.

A Split Air Conditioner consists of an outdoor & indoor unit. The outdoor element of the unit is situated on/near the exterior wall of the room that you wish to cool. This unit houses the compressor, condenser coil and the expansion coil or capillary tubing. The interior unit then contains the cooling coil, a long blower and an air filter. Then a refrigerated pipe is a conduit used to connect the two along with the appropriate electrical wiring.

There a several advantages with a split air conditioning installation including:

  • Space Saving
  • Reduced Noise
  • More Flexibility with Installation
  • Can be fitted at ground level or higher level
  • Ideal for the home
  • Quieter compared to larger units

Split air conditioning units are available in various sizes to suit the required circulation of cool air for the room or building. They can also opt for a multi-split system, where you can have multiple indoor units connected to one outdoor unit. This is ideal for use in multiple rooms to maintain cool or hot temperatures throughout a house or building.
