A Water Chiller Do?
A water chiller is a device used to exchange heat from water in a closed-loop system to refrigerate. Heat is filtered outside, and chilled water is sent to its location.
Chilled water is used in air conditioning units to cool the air in a building and is also used to cool equipment and machines. It cools water to around 45°F; this chilled water is then sent to the designated location. Using a condenser to cool the water, water is sourced from a water cooling tower or air blast cooler. These chiller types are generally used inside and unsuitable for outdoor use. The systems are ideal where alternate temperatures are required i.e. hotels or hospitals.
Old Water Chillers
Most commercial buildings rely heavily on water chillers for their air conditioning systems to maintain suitable air temperatures in rooms. Water chillers can also be used to cool machinery i.e. in server rooms.
