Split Air Conditioning Installation

Air Conditioning

In some circumstances it is necessary to install a split air con system, where the main air conditioning unit and compressor are ‘split’, usually with the compressor unit outside of the main building.

Split AC Installation refers to a condenser or outdoor unit being separated from the indoor unit.

In some circumstances, it is necessary to create a split air system by placing the compressor in a different location to the main air conditioning unit.

This system is ideal when using air-con units that require numerous indoor units and only one compressor. This type of system is known as a multi-split air conditioning installation.

The unit works by connecting both a copper pipe and electrical wiring to the indoor unit and outside compressor. The refrigerant gas is pumped to the indoor unit from the compressor and the cool air is circulated using a fan. It is recommended to use this unit where space is limited.

Split AC Installations are ideal for cooling specific areas in a building and perfect for larger buildings like factories and schools where more control is required.

Another advantage of using a split ac system is that there is no ductwork installation or ductwork modification required making them ideal for installations in hotels, schools and universities
